BTW-So I am thinking we are eligible to be members of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers... I was looking at Grandma Peters pedigree stuff. Her mom is Ellen Loise Pedersen. Ellen's dad is Lars E Pedersen. It looks like Lars' parents (Bertha Marie Ericksen and Peder Larsen) brought little Lars over to Utah with them from Norway. You can order their story here http://www.duptooeleco.org Maybe we could look that up. I would love to know how our Grandma's Grandpa crossed the plains as a boy! :)

It looks like Grandpa Peters had some ancestors that are registered with Sons of Utah Pioneers. His maternal grandparents Hans Peter Larsen and his wife Wilhelmina Sophia Erickson are on the list of pioneers that arrived before the train
http://www.sonsofutahpioneers.org/pdf/Before1869.PDF

It is interesting that both of their maternal grandmothers were so similar. They both had parents from denmark/sweden who crossed the plains. Then they both married non members. Is this correct?

Bertha Marie Ericksen is buried IN Spanish Fork BTW

Of course this all depends on Ralph/ette, but...count us in for Thursday's activities, Friday afternoon (no water park, probably), and all day Saturday except the rodeo...I don't know!!! I adore rodeos, but given the newly-delivered-or-VERY-great-with-child possibilities...probably not.

Okay, the WA Ross family is coming...yay! WE are super excited. The whole thing sounds Awesome, I am wondering about the cousin sleep over the night before the Temple at 8:00 am, who gets to rouse the troops and get them going...lol....

Does each family get to participate in the ancestor spotlight? Let us know what we get to do in regards to food:)

Awesome plans! I am excited. I have been gathering the histories that I have to put in notebooks, since I have quite a few short histories. I will have the collection done by the reunion.
One of my long term goals is to visit the grave sites of ancestors along the Wasatch front and take pictures of the grave stones.

Yes, both my grandmothers were born in covenant and married non-members.

Anyone want to be crazy and train for the 10K with me?

I think we can totally get the big kids up for baptisms, but I am a little worried about making an afternoon session the same day as the waterpark. Knowing the stamina of my kids, they will want the maximum amount of time at the park. I would also like to get my money's worth if we are paying a full-day price. Can we squeeze in the adult session maybe Friday night after dinner? I know, GAMES! There are just too many fun things to do. We don't want to miss any of them!

Did you realize we will have to leave SJ at about 5:30 to make a 7:00am race? =/

OR...anyone who wants to do the race could stay the night at my house. We have plenty of floor space, and even some twin beds for the grownups. It could be fun!
